Orchestre Super Mandé - Volume 1. Wahabiadachi.(Sodogil,1980)

Each time I'm listening to malian music, specially the music that was created during the 60-80s period I must recognise that they play in the first division, and in the top of it...Super Mandé was a band made of Malian and Burkinabé expatriates who was playing in the hottests "dancings" of Treichville (Abidjan) specially for the  Bambara speaking crowd...On this album they are 13 muscians(most of them from Burkina and Mali), lead by the great Malian griot Abdoulaye Diabaté and pushed by the incredible Mangué Kondé. My two favorites songs are "Abidjan" and "Bolon", and specially "Bolon" for his fucking great bambara groove...
Victor Démé used to sing with them when he was young and living in Abidjan, before the beggining of the "ivoirité" policy....
The condition of the LP (and of the pressing) is quiet bad, but the music on this bunch of plastic is just great...

  8. That's probably it. . . Apparently the encoding for the characters of the song titles is incompatible with my windows machine. I can probably figure out a work-around.
